Welcome to Lighthouse!

Every service. Every person—whether online or in-person—we believe You Are a Special Gift from God!

For those joining us in-person, our Welcome Team will be in the lobby to greet and serve you. We’ll help you get acquainted with our church. Not sure where to check-in the kids? Worried about finding a seat? We’ve got you covered! We are happy to assist you however we can.

We have Sunday morning opportunities for children from infant all the way through 12th grade! (Some adaptations are in place, temporarily, due to COVID safety measures.)

At Lighthouse You’ll Find:

Who is Pastor Bill Goodwin?

Pastor Bill and his wife Karla have been at Lighthouse since the summer of 2004. Prior to coming to Lighthouse,  they served at Community Church of Joy in Glendale, AZ (1999-2004) and Hosanna! in Lakeville (1993-1999). He also was on staff as Youth Director at Elim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale, MN, Prince of Peace in Scottsdale, AZ and Christ Community Church in Glendale, AZ. Bill is a product of Young Life, where he surrendered his heart to the Lord at the age of 15 and began serving in ministry in the late 1980's. An Ordained Minister through International Ministerial Fellowship (IMF), Bill loves to travel. He has ministered in various countries in Africa with preaching, training leaders and playing with the children. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for several non-profits. Bill and Karla have two adult children; Kristy, married to Ryan, and son Dean. They enjoy spending time with their grandsons, Harvey and Oscar.

What are the weekend services like?

Our weekend worship is exciting and dynamic! We begin our service with praise and worship led by Paul and Evelyn Mutebi and our worship team and we often take time to pray and wait on the Holy Spirit. This may lead to testimonies and/or encouraging words for the congregation gathered. We continue worshipping the Lord with our offering and  then we dive into the Word of God for a message that will inspire, encourage, and challenge you in your relationship with Christ. We often close with an opportunity for prayer ministry at the front (this is optional - for those who would like personal prayer). Our goal each week is to be sensitive and yield to the Holy Spirit as to what He desires to do in our midst. The Holy Spirit knows how to have church!

What about kids/students?

Currently, due to COVID, we are offering programming for K-5th grade. We are currently not offering Early Childhood/ Nursery and 6-12 Grade Illuminate. Yth, 6th-12th grades meet on Wednesdays from 6-8pm.

Typically on Sundays, we offer Lighthouse Kids for 6 weeks -5th grade. Children are checked-in on iPads in lobby before the service (starting at 9:45), attend the praise and worship portion of the service with their family, children are dismissed before message to go to LH KIDS. Picked up your child at LH KIDS rooms after the service. For students (6th-12th grade) we offer Illuminate, a small group style interactive lesson after the musical praise and worship portion of the service. Donuts are included.

Lighthouse Kids is a safe, caring and fun environment for your child where they will discover who God is in an atmosphere designed just for them. Children take part in interactive learning through music, videos, Bible teaching and much more!

What does your church believe?

Thanks for asking! Our foundation is based firmly upon the Bible as our authority on Christian beliefs and guide to living. As a 'New Testament' church, we are open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit to build up the Body. Read our Statement of Faith.

How do I get to the church?

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in! People wear everything from “Sunday best” to business casual, to shorts and sandals.

What is your denominational affiliation?

We are a non-denominational Christian Church under the Apostolic covering of International Ministerial Fellowship (IMF). IMF has their international headquarters in Navarre, MN.

What is a typical Sunday order of service?

Praise Worship (30-40 minutes)

We believe the Lord is worthy to be worshipped. Therefore, we don’t just sing some songs about God, we enter into worship. We worship the Lord with song and dance because He is worthy of all praise! This time is led by Paul and Evelyn Mutebi and Team.

Waiting on the Lord Time

We believe that God desires to speak corporately to His children. So we wait upon the Lord each week in our services, knowing He will reveal His heart through the corporate body. Read What We Believe here.

Announcements/Offering/Special Song

Dismiss the children and students to age appropriate gatherings.

Message (30 minutes)
